The 2017 Academy Awards (aka Oscars) nominations have been made public and we are excited for the incredible YoungArts alumni nominated this year. The award ceremony, hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), will be held on February 26, 2017 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, and will be hosted by longtime ABC late night host Jimmy Kimmel.

The 89th Academy Awards ceremony will also be livestreamed to more than 200 countries. We will be watching and crossing our fingers for Viola Davis, Jason Moran, Nicholas Britell, Tarell Alvin McCraney, and Andrew Hevia.
