Blog > A look at our 2016 YoungArts Gala

One of the best parts of our annual gala (we call it the YoungArts Backyard Ball) is the opportunity to bring together a group of YoungArts Alumni for an original, made-in-one-week, unforgettable performance. This year we brought together dancers, actors, writers, singers, musicians and a visual artist - spanning YoungArts history from 1986 to 2015 - for this incredible performance, directed by 1997 YoungArts Winner in Theater, the Tony-nominated Tony Yazbeck.

We’re SO excited to share with you now and forever the performance from our 2016 YoungArts Backyard Ball!

Before the performance, we had a chance to catch up with some of our friends and alumni at the gala. Here are some quotes and YoungArts stories from these brilliant artists and supporters:

Rachel Moore
1982 YoungArts Winner in Dance and U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts, President & CEO of The Music Center in LA, and former CEO (and dancer!) of American Ballet Theatre
