The National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) President and CEO Carolina García Jayaram today announced the appointment of Jim Frost as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships. Frost will work alongside García Jayaram and organization leadership to support the most accomplished young artists in the visual, literary, design and performing arts by building networks of partners that share YoungArts’ mission to serve aspiring artists at critical junctures in their educational and professional development. He will assume his post immediately.

“The Board of Trustees and I are thrilled to welcome Jim Frost to YoungArts, and we look forward to working with him to create strategic alliances that will benefit YoungArts winners and alumni, ” said Carolina García Jayaram, YoungArts President and CEO. “Recognition by an established institution can be game changing for an emerging artist. We want to build a stronger network of partners so that we can be the bridge between emerging artists and leading arts institutions that will help champion their work.”

“I am delighted to bring my varied arts administration experiences—from working in programs to administration to consulting—to YoungArts, which is fostering artistic careers from the ground up,” said Jim Frost. “I look forward to advocating for these bright talents and to exploring new networks across the country that encourage fresh, innovative ideas and provide firm platforms for professional development and presentation.”

Frost is a seasoned arts advocate with 25 years of experience in arts administration and programming. He has spent the majority of his career working with Atlantic Center for the Arts (ACA), an internationally renowned artist residency program based in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. While at ACA, Frost held various positions, most recently Co-Executive Director. During his tenure he also served as Program and Marketing Manager and Program Assistant.

Frost’s extensive work experience also includes positions as the Director of the Rosenberg Gallery at New York University, Art Team member at Mixed Greens gallery and consultant with the Gershon Benjamin Foundation in New York.

Mr. Frost received his bachelor’s degree in art from Stetson University and master’s degree in visual arts administration from New York University. He completed the Leadership Development Program at the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, North Carolina in 2014 and became a licensed realtor in Florida in 2016.
