Outside the Box with Yara Travieso
Combining elements of theater, dance, cinema and music, “El Ciclón” is a “wild neo-feminist mythology trapped inside a 1950s B-movie psychological thriller with singing, dancing, and just enough alligators” created by director, filmmaker and choreographer Yara Travieso (2005 YoungArts Winner in Dance). Transforming the YoungArts Plaza into a South Florida swamp, Travieso sets the stage for heroine Ava, who finds herself in a precarious situation facing an impossible moral decision.
El Ciclón contains mature content that may not be suitable for younger audiences. Accordingly, viewer discretion is advised.
