The YoungArts Backyard Ball benefits programming for the National YoungArts Foundation. It is the culmination of National YoungArts Week, our signature national program celebrating the nation’s most talented emerging artists in the visual, literary, design and performing arts. On Saturday, January 10, the 2015 Youngarts Backyard Ball was co-chaired by Tracey and Bruce Berkowitz and Elizabeth and Facundo Bacardi, and welcomed more than 700 notable attendees in Miami to honor the achievements of the 2015 YoungArts Finalists.

During the evening, three prominent awardees were recognized for their invaluable commitment to the arts: renowned visual artist Jeff Koons; Grammy-nominated recording artist, YoungArts Master Teacher and 1999 YoungArts Winner in Theater, Josh Groban; and Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and 2003 YoungArts Winner and U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts, Chris Young.

The evening was emceed by YoungArts Alumna and Master Teacher, actress Zuzanna Szadkowksi (1997 Winner in Theater and U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts) and included a post-dinner performance directed by renowned Tony Award-winner, dancer, choreographer and YoungArts Artistic Advisor, Bill T. Jones. The performance featured YoungArts Alumni in music, voice, theater and dance from around the nation.
