The YoungArts Performance and Gala is our largest annual fundraiser, and the culmination of YoungArts Week, our signature national program celebrating the nation’s best emerging artists in the visual, literary and performing arts. On January 11th, 2014, more than 800 notable attendees gathered on the YoungArts campus in Miami to honor the achievements of these talented young artists.

The 2014 YoungArts Performance and Gala included a performance directed by Tony Award winner, renowned dancer/choreographer and YoungArts Artistic Advisor, Bill T. Jones, performed by our spectacular alumni from across the nation. Our emcee, Tony Award-winning actor and singer Brian “Stokes” Mitchell, recognized three awardees for their invaluable commitment to the arts: Arison Award Honorees, Pritzker Award Winning architect Zaha Hadid and Academy Award Winning singer, dancer and actress, Rita Moreno, and Alumni Honoree, actor, singer and 1997 YoungArts Winner in Theater, Andrew Rannells. The magical evening concluded on the YoungArts Plaza with dancing and dessert, and an everlasting memory of the talented young artists and their impact to inspire us and future generations.
