"The YoungArts Competition is one of the most competitive opportunities in the nation for students exhibiting artistic and academic excellence, with over eight thousand submissions from 42 states, we're very proud that eight of those students came from the Governor's School, as this is an esteemed accomplishment for our students, our schools and our state."

Attend YoungArts Week

You can attend selected master classes, rehearsals and public performance and exhibition events during National YoungArts Week or the YoungArts Regional programs in Los Angeles, New York City and Miami.

"The master teachers they get to work with, the other peer artists they get to meet, and the experiences they have, are at a level which is singular. For me as an educator, this is my opportunity to make sure my small school in my small state is doing everything we can to make sure our students are the top students. Attending YoungArts Week gives me what that measurement is, an idea of what the arts look like at this level across the country."

In-school presentations

In-School Presentations, Skype and/or conference call sessions are available for you and your students to learn about YoungArts, our competition, and winner benefits.

A YoungArts master teacher or alumni who has worked with winners through our national and regional programs, can lead a session or private class. They will encourage young artists to pursue their craft, speak about the YoungArts application process and the opportunities that come along with applying like a strong work ethic.
