Presidential Scholars in the Arts Smithsonian American Art Museum and John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington, D.C. Message from the CEO Dear Friends,
Every month this year, at the bottom of this newsletter, you’ll see the words, “Celebrating 30 years of discovering excellence in the arts.” That’s not just a slogan we added because it sounds good. Discovering excellence is the heart and soul of the YoungArts program. With that in mind, we are embarking on a new era of broadening our reach and impact in regions and communities across the country. Not only are we looking to connect with talented high school students in the visual, literary and performing arts, but we seek to strengthen the bonds with our alumni – our personal examples of excellence in the arts. We want you to tell us where you are and what you’re up to, and whether you’d like to join us on our journey of discovering excellence in the arts. Please drop me a line anytime. I’d love to hear from you.
Registration for YoungArts 2012 opens Tuesday, March 15. In the arts, the clock never stops ticking. As our community continues to grow each year, we all benefit.
It is our hope that you will be inspired by what you read here, or on our website, or through the numerous ways in which we communicate with you, including our new 30th Anniversary video. Join us this very special milestone year.
Sincerely,
Christina DePaul President & CEO Sponsor Spotlight Thank You for Your Support We thank THE HISTORIC ALFRED I.
