ABOUT YOUNGARTS MIAMI

During YoungArts Miami, winners have the chance to share their talents with the public through multidisciplinary performances, film screenings, and arts exhibitions.

During the intensive, week-long and all-inclusive program, artists across 10 disciplines participate in master classes and workshops with internationally recognized leaders, including award-winning American theatre and opera director Anne Bogart; violinist, composer, arranger, producer and conductor Ralph Ferris; dancer, choreographer, and Florida State University professor Geri Houlihan; poet and performance artist Roger Bonair-Agard; American fashion and fine art photographer and video artist Claire Rosen among others.

YOUNGARTS MIAMI HIGHLIGHTS AND PUBLIC EVENTS

PARTICIPATION: The goal of the YoungArts Regional program is to provide a multi-day, immersive learning experience for emerging young artists.  Participants are eligible to attend as one of the benefits of their selection as a national winner of the YoungArts competition at all levels (Finalist, Honorable Mention, Merit).  During this full-time, residential program, participants work in group classroom style, studio, and rehearsal settings. They engage in career and discipline specific learning dialogues, and participate in public performances or exhibition showings of their work.

Participation in the ENTIRE regional program schedule is required. Participants and/or parents are expected to speak with their teachers, coaches and/or mentors before notifying YoungArts of their intention to participate and register for the program. Hotel accommodations, meals, and all scheduled activities are provided by YoungArts at no cost. All participants (regardless of age) are supervised by the National YoungArts Foundation and trained Resident Advisors.
