Marina Lomazov was the youngest First Prize Winner of the All-Kiev Piano Competition and receipt of the Artist’s Certificate from Eastman School of Music. Marina is the founder and artistic director of the Southeastern Piano Festival.  She is a member of the International Roster of Steinway Artists and an Associate Professor of Piano at the University of South Carolina School Of Music. In 2005, with her husband, she was awarded Second Prize at the Sixth Ellis Competition for Duo Pianists.

James Barnes currently is serving as the Division Director for Music Theory and Composition at the University of Kansas. Barnes has received twice the American Bandmasters Association Ostwald Award , numerous ASCAP Awards, the Kappa Kappa Psi Distinguished Service to Music Medal, the Bohumil Makovsky Award for Outstanding College Band Conductors and was awarded the first annual BMI Award for Excellence in Teaching Creativity. He is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) and the American Bandmasters Association.

Jeffrey Solow has received two Grammy Award nominations, among his many recordings. In addition to performing, Solow’s editions are published by numerous companies such as the International Music Company; he edits the Newsletter of the Violoncello Society, Inc. of NY, the nation’s second oldest cello society, and serves as VCS president and he is the immediate past president of the American String Teachers Association. He is currently a professor of cello at Temple University in Philadelphia.

Chair / John Stevens is the Director of the School of Music at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Stevens is an internationally recognized performer, teacher and conductor, is a highly acclaimed composer and has been involved in over 50 recording projects. In 2008, Stevens received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Tuba and Euphonium Association.
