New York GALA

The YoungArts New York Gala underscores YoungArts' longstanding and still-growing commitment to supporting emerging New York artists. The event brings together New York City’s top cultural and community leaders, philanthropists, celebrities and art aficionados. 

2018 New York Gala

The YoungArts New York Gala took place on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The event was co-chaired by Sarah Arison, Diana DiMenna and Sandra Tamer and featured a series of performances by an all-star alumni cast. The evening supported YoungArts programs for the most promising aspiring artists in New York and across the nation and preceded the YoungArts New York regional program April 24-29.


On April 20, 2017, YoungArts hosted the second annual New York Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The sold-out evening raised more than half a million dollars and celebrated aspiring young artists across the nation, including this year’s nearly 700 YoungArts winners in ten arts disciplines. Presented in collaboration with luxury brand Swarovski, with support from Max Mara, the gala was emceed by former Gossip Girl and The Knick actress Zuzanna Szadkowski (1997 Winner in Theater and U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts), and featured a series of dynamic cross-disciplinary performance vignettes directed by YoungArts alum Jake Goldbas (2007 Winner in Jazz).
