National YoungArts Week is YoungArts’ signature program. A life-changing experience that aims to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration and community while offering Finalists the guidance needed to prepare for the next stage of their artistic development.
Modeled on the transformative experience of its annual signature program, National YoungArts Week, regional programs are currently offered in Miami, New York and Los Angeles. These programs expose audiences to emerging artists from the community and allow participants to take master classes with world-renowned artists and showcase their work through performances, exhibitions, and readings at some of the most prestigious arts institutions in the country.
At the request of the Commission on Presidential Scholars, which is appointed by the President of the United States, YoungArts serves as the exclusive nominating agency for the U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts. Scholars showcase their work at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and at The Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C and attend an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.
Our two-story gallery was designed by Frank Gehry to offer guests an immersive experience. Exhibitions are featured year round. Additionally, YoungArts supports Visual Arts, Design, Photography and Writing alumni with exhibitions and residencies in partnership with organizational partners.
The Backyard Ball is our largest annual fundraiser, and the culmination of YoungArts Week—our signature national program celebrating the nation’s most promising artists in the visual, literary, design and performing arts. More than 800 notable attendees gather in Miami to honor the achievements of these talented young artists.
The New York Gala underscores YoungArts' longstanding and growing commitment to supporting emerging New York artists. The event brings together New York City’s top cultural and community leaders, philanthropists, celebrities and art aficionados.
In addition to galas, YoungArts invites supporters to join artists, thought leaders and arts patrons at our private events including Supper Club, Pop of Culture and Up Close & Personal.
